Located at Southwoods Ecocentrum in Binan, Laguna, my wonderful experience at Splash Island started when we saw some Metrodeal promo on Facebook.  Our package was five day passes free with every purchase of five passes. What a deal! So all four adults, and six kids with ages ranging from 10-16 years, got into a van for this late outing to Laguna.

Based on the website, there were several options of getting there. Via a private vehicle, we took the Southwoods Exit along SLEX, and drove passed Colegio de San Agustin (CSA) and the Sto. Nino Church, then made a turn at Soro-Soro Road, like we did. If commuting, as suggested by their website, you can take any of the following bus liners, Cher, Jam, Pacita Liner, or Dela Rosa along EDSA with the sign board labeled: San Pedro/ Pacita Complex. Get off at Jollibee Pacita, then take a tricycle going to Splash Island.

Upon arriving on a Saturday, we saw just a reasonable number of guests, considering the size of the water park. The park has an area size of 7.5 hectares and has a maximum capacity of 6,000 guests. We could just imagine the hordes of people going there during the summer. Even the staff mentioned that it was going to be a more relaxing and enjoyable stay that day with minimal crowds, so maybe it was better to go there within July-December.
So we selected a set of table and chairs under a huge acacia tree, which was free.  We then located the shower area and the attractions we wanted to try out. We also selected an area nearby the food court since bringing in of food and drinks are not allowed, and didn’t want to go far, back and forth, for cold beverages and a few sandwiches and chips. They also had rice toppings for those guests who prefer more filling meals. Food stalls were also strategically placed in spots around the grounds, ensuring that you would never go hungry.

Of course the kids went straight to the changing rooms then proceeded to enjoy the numerous slides, rides and attractions that were designed to provide excitement and adventure for thrill-seekers. Try as many attractions as you can.  They’re fun and safe for kids & active elders. Just bear with all the climbing of the staircases, of course, and carrying of the tubes for the slides, but it's all worth it once you get to experience the slides. Their helpful staff also advised us to check out the park schedule so that we would be able to maximize each attraction as they open during their designated time. This includes the bubble-shower party just after the wave pool schedule which was a favorite among teens & smaller kids.
The facilities are maintained in accordance with the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. Lifeguards were everywhere and safety measures are well explained in signs posted per attraction. The most recent fees for adults is P500 and P400 for children/senior citizens for kids 3ft to 4ft of height, inclusive of tent with tables & chairs. Children under 3ft are free of charge.
